I agree with you Russ --but if no contract signed , and only a handsake , and what I saw on news TV --Basher said : He told everyone that is was Even Colder all along !! So, if anyone is to get taken to court it's the Parks & Wal-Mart group --again that is if Basher has a witness to back-up his story . This in the long run only hurts WCWO ---but I think they will only bounce back --a maybe learned a small lession on this mess .

If you are a promoter then you should know whats going on with your show and what is happening before the show. Not bashing Basher but he and the Son of a legend promoter should have better control of what is happening in their town. Bottom line they knew he is a fraud and just wanted to make a quick buck. Sorry but thats th real deal. If not then why would Randy Klemme disassociate himself with Basher? WCWO and Brazils's group just keep killing indy wrestling. LMAO at people who take up for them. Understand the truth they knew what was happening .

Sorry but thats th real deal. If not then why would Randy Klemme disassociate himself with Basher? WCWO and Brazils's group just keep killing indy wrestling. LMAO at people who take up for them. Understand the truth they knew what was happening . One reason I'm taking up for Basher is because he got me started in the business, so I feel like I owe it to him to give him the benefit of the doubt. To be quite honest, I don't think the organizations you mentioned are killing indy wrestling, because they don't draw enough to matter. If you want to look at somebody who tried to kill indy wrestling, there were Reeder's fiascos in Kokomo and that legends show that tried to run at the state fairgrounds a few years ago where Corny went in the locker room and smacked the promoter around. Those were real attempts to kill indy wrestling. I mean, sure... he could have driven out to Greensburg once a week and made sure that they weren't promoting "Stone Cold" instead of "Even Colder". but have you filled up your gas tank lately? He probably trusted the people at the Parks Center to put up a sign as he specified because he has a long-running relationship with them (probably at least 10 years, I would guess). If he wasn't explicit about it, then that was a failure on his part, and I never saw what was advertised, only heard rumors... Randy has his own reasons, and he's his own man. I don't know why people have this conception that he and I are somehow joined at the hip because of what all has gone down with Adam's hotline, but although we are friends, that does not mean we agree on everything. That's a basic fact of life. Do you always agree with your friends or your spouse or your parents?

for someone who you think is killing the business, Mr. Basher sure seems to be running a lot of show all over Indiana. They are not based out of one town only: BMF, TNW, EWF, IPW, SCW, CCW, ect.....Basher runs in Connersville, Greensburg, Crawfordsville, Brazil, Indy, ect. Just so the locals get too excited, WCWO hasn't ran a show in Brazil in about six years. Having said that, I welcome them back with open arms.

They shouldve called this dude Mark Austin. This is worse than Golden Lion claiming he is Bruisers son.

The most recent news last night on Channel 6 was that a Greensburg cop seized some of the autograph money from Basher and then kept it for himself. He is now charged, out of a job, and reopening all the old wounds on this... they had some guy in a trailer on TV complaining about how he got rooked and how some people might have spent their last $10 in the current economy to buy that (and if you're spending your last $10 to get a wrestler's autograph, you have worse problems than getting hoodwinked)... yet the kid had a shiny new replica World title (the real thing, not a Toys R Us job). Maybe they can pawn it on eBay and buy another tank of gas.
Sorry if this sounds too negative, but there comes a point where personal accountability by the "defrauded" has to come into play as well.
While I don't agree with the way any of this was handled, it sounds like the number of fans at this autograph session has been overblown. It sounded like from the report that there were only about 15 people there. While defrauding even one fan is wrong, the earlier reports made it sound like the entire town of Greensburg showed up at the Wally World that day.
